Dana and Greg are Professional Weirdos, it says so on their business cards.

I previously worked with Dana and Greg at Roadtrippers, and over the years, I’ve worked with them to develop brands for Planet Weird, Week in Weird, and the Traveling Museum of the Paranormal & Occult. The paranormal industry is full of grungy Bleeding Cowboys logos, and we wanted to create something bright and modern to stand out at conventions, lectures, and live investigations.

Planet Weird “is a lot of things. It’s an unorthodox paranormal investigation team chasing down high strangeness, a fully-functioning media company dedicated to promoting the odd and the unexplained, an award-winning documentary film crew, and home of the world’s only Traveling Museum of the Paranormal & Occult. Basically, Planet Weird is the hub for some of the most groundbreaking things happening in the world of the strange and the unexplained.”

As part of the initial brand development for Planet Weird and Week in Weird, I worked up a few designs for pins, spirit boards, shirts, and stickers. None of these have made it into production, yet.

Engaging the Strange is an online documentary series where Dana and Greg “seek to uncover the world’s most iconic mysteries through a distinct blend of research, experimentation, and humorous self-sacrifice.” I created the logo and eye symbol for the series by manipulating the imagery on my scanner, which seemed like a fitting process for this project.
